Aduda Joins Wike at Bwari Rainbow Coalition Meeting, as 2027 Political Alignment Gains Momentum

ABUJA — Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, MFR, CON, on Thursday joined the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and other political stakeholders at an interactive session with members of the Rainbow Coalition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bwari Area Council, Abuja.

The meeting brought together political leaders, traditional rulers, women leaders, and community representatives to strengthen political cooperation across party lines and consolidate support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a move highlighting the coalition’s emphasis on political cooperation, Wike promised to forward the nomination of Hon. Julius Adamu, the PDP chairmanship candidate in the last Bwari Area Council election, to President Tinubu for consideration as Chairman of the FCT Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB).

Adamu had stepped down in favour of the APC candidate, Hon. Joshua Ishaku Musa, who subsequently emerged as Chairman of Bwari Area Council.

The minister described such political understanding and cooperation as important to strengthening unity and advancing shared interests among political stakeholders.

The interactive session also provided an opportunity for community representatives to raise concerns affecting their respective areas, particularly the need for improved road infrastructure and greater attention to development challenges across Bwari Area Council.

Traditional rulers and community leaders acknowledged ongoing development efforts in the FCT but appealed for additional government interventions to address infrastructure deficits and improve the welfare of residents.

In their separate remarks, FCT APC Chairman, Tanko Yamawo, and FCT PDP Chairman, Ismaila Dogara, commended Wike for promoting unity and cooperation among political actors across party lines.

They expressed optimism that the Rainbow Coalition would strengthen political engagement and foster greater collaboration among stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The gathering further highlighted efforts to build a common political platform involving members of the APC and PDP, with participants expressing their commitment to working together in support of President Tinubu and candidates endorsed under the coalition’s political arrangement.

The meeting ended with renewed calls for unity, political understanding, and sustained development across the Federal Capital Territory as stakeholders look towards the 2027 elections.
