Senator Lere Oyewumi, PhD, has completed the successful implementation of a large-scale agricultural empowerment programme across the ten Local Government Areas of Osun West Senatorial District, aimed at strengthening food security and supporting local farmers.
The intervention delivered premium fertilizers, rechargeable and manual sprayers, and Force Up chemicals to farmers—both indigenous and non-indigenous—actively contributing to agricultural development in the district.

Senator Oyewumi described the initiative as a strategic response to Nigeria’s growing food security challenges, emphasizing that the support provides farmers with practical tools to significantly improve crop yield and productivity.
Beneficiaries praised the effort as timely and impactful, noting that rising costs of agricultural inputs have placed many farmers under pressure.
They assured that the items will be used effectively to boost production, profitability, and overall food sufficiency in the district.
This intervention reinforces Senator Oyewumi’s commitment to agricultural development, rural empowerment, and sustainable growth across Osun West.
